Igor's Website - Music - Old and outdated website

Science, stories, art and music (outdated).

This is the old version of the site, which hasn't been maintained for many an eon. If you're here because you were looking for some of my old work, then cool, but beware, some really nasty stuff may lurk here. There's plenty of cool things I posted here while I was a student, but I basically abandoned the maintenance of the site from about 2012. So, this old site in no way represents my ongoing work and state of being. If you just want to browse around, then go for it. :)

If you don't want to go through the collective works of an undergraduate student, I suggest you go back to my main website.

Keep in mind that some links might not work here and the listed products have long been without technical support.

Audio and sheet music.

I have composed over thirty compositions for orchestra and strings. Some of the compositions are available for listening below. This work is copyrighted, but if you want to use it, you can contact me at igor@igorsevo.com.

About the compositions

The Imbecile Puppet Master is a composition for a somewhat unusual combination of instruments: trumpet, trombone, oboe, piccolo and piano. I wanted to make it sound circusy, so I picked this combination of instruments. Each instrument individually does not play the melody, they play fragments. Also, the piccolo part is rather difficult.

Robot's Cry is an orchestral composition with varying tempo. Simultaneous changes in dynamics and tempo can sometimes have more dramatic and emotional effects, which I have, hopefully, achieved here. The composition is written in F minor. The difficulty of playing is not to high (except for the piano part), however conducting is a whole other matter.

I wrote Land of Ironica for a string quintet. The composition is relatively easy to play. Sheets can be found in General Resources section or on this link: Land of Ironica Sheet.

The name Butterflies and Unicornes might sound weird, but this composition turned out happier than I though it would, so I named it a happy name. I've uploaded the sheets: Butterflies and Unicorns.

A cello quintet composition, Five Precepts Lost, is a difficult cello composition. This is one of the rare single instrument compositions I wrote.

A waltz for a flute duo, Waltz of Fairies, is a waltz I wrote for a student who happens to play the flute very well. The main melody is accompanied by the guitar. The overall sound of the composition turned out to be a bit medieval which makes this composition somewhat unique for me.

Paint the Oblivion is a weird composition I made, trying to pass through all keys. It sounds more musical than I originally thought it would. The composition is for piano, two flutes, three violins, and a guitar as accompaniment.

I have spent some time on making the Crystal in a Pearl. This is a composition for a symphonic ensemble. Here, I tried to write compelling and interesting parts for each of the instruments, while varying on one specific theme. The composition is a gift for a girl who is very important to me.

Sheets for some of my compositions are available at the General Resources section.

Comercial orchestration, composition and arrangement

I write, play and orchestrate music mostly as a hobby, but I also do comercial composing and arranging.

I write mostly movie-style music. However, classic and ambient are not an unknown to me. If you wish to have a unique composition written for some occasion or you wish to have someone else's or your own composition orchestrated or arranged, you can e-mail me at music@igorsevo.com.

I have a public portfolio on the AudioJungle marketplace where I sell arrangements and compositions.

I started playing piano five years ago. Some four years ago I made a few YouTube videos playing some known movie compositions:

The quality of the recordings is somewhat bad though. I also have piano sheets for these (and many other) compositions. If you need sheets, you can e-mail me.

Recently (two years ago) I started playing the violin. Such a decision is sometimes hard to make, but choosing to play an instrument you never played before has its benefits. I wrote a blog post about learning the violin as an adult.
